Adela-Maria BRATU (violin) received her first violin lesson at the age of six at the Carmen Sylva Music College in her hometown, Ploiești. In 2012 she graduated from the National Music University in Bucharest, in the class of Prof. Octavian Ratiu. Later that year Adela began her postgraduate studies at the University for Music and Theatre Rostock, in the class of Prof. Petru Munteanu. Adela has won numerous awards and special prizes at national and international competitions, such as the W.A. Mozart Competition, Johann-Andreas Stein Competition, Garabet Avachian Competition and Paul Constantinescu Competition. She made her solo debut at the age of 13 with the Ploiesti Philharmonic, later on performing as soloist with various orchestras such as the Concertino Ensemble, Silvestri Camerata and Targoviste Philharmonic. Since 2015 Adela has performed as assistant concertmaster of the second violins in the Dresden Philharmonic.
