Artur Podlesniy (violin) was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine in 1980. His education includes studying at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music in Moscow and at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf with Rosa Fain, which he graduated from in 2006 with distinction. Artur Podlesniy has won prizes at various violin and chamber music competitions, including the Pancho Vladigerov International Violin Competition in Shumen, Bulgaria, the Shostakovich Competition in Moscow and the DAAD Prize in Düsseldorf. He regularly performs as a soloist and chamber musician in Ukraine, Germany and other European countries.

Podlesniy is a permanent member of the Hába Quartet (Frankfurt am Main). Podlesniy’s career as an orchestral musician began in 2002 with an internship at the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra. In 2003, he became a member of the orchestra academy of the Aalto Musiktheater in Essen with the Essen Philharmonic and later a permanent member of this orchestra. Artur Podlesniy was a member of the 1st violins of the Frankfurt Radio Symphony in 2008–2016. Since the beginning of the 2016/17 season, Artur Podlesniy has been a permanent member of the Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester (Frankfurt Opera) in the position of Deputy First Concertmaster.
